King Bee to release 3rd studio album “the deer and the bear” in 2010

hi all!
What a busy 2010 its been so far. We’ve filmed a music video for our upcoming album “the deer and the bear” (with another video slated for start in september), played some really cool venues throughout florida, met some really cool folks along the way, had the honor of playing along with and actually sharing the stage with some extremely talented musicians and most importantly have been writing and recording what we feel is our most exciting and refreshing album yet!! A follow up to our 2009 EP “HOWL,” a free download (which was voted in the top ten best local releases for ‘09 – Citylink magazine), and our third full length album, “the deer and the bear” is a loosely thematic album discussing one’s ability to be predator or prey at any given moment. There’s a line from the Michael Chabon novel “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay” that sums it up pretty well – “And yet in her eyes there was something unreadable, something that did not want to be read, the determined blankness that in predator animals conceals hostile calculation, and in prey forms part of an overwhelming effort to seem to have disappeared.” We’ve tried musically to achieve this by presenting what we feel is the lion and the lamb to our songwriting. There’s music on there for you to drive long distances to, slow dance to or for general raucous like turning over cars and howling at the moon under the influence of psilocybin – in both cases with the most serene and gentle ravaging.
